I liked a guy and he was going to Disneyland and I asked him to buy me something there (anything, and I was expecting something cheap) and he brought back an expensive toy. (Probably around $15-$30). Also when we went the movies he bought me a hot dog because I asked and when I felt bad and offered to pay he said no. Well does it count or not because I asked?

By the way - I am not a golddigger. I have as much or more than he does and back then we were both 13 years old. I dunno. I just wanted anything from him that would remind me of him. =P I just wonder now.

Guys show they care in ways that differ than what women do. Women like to be more emotional and show their feelings through touch and expression. Men have a high tendancy to show that they care by letting you have the things that they value such as: money, time, and a personal possesion. If they buy you something, they are showing you that they like to spend a "valued" element of theirs on you.
If they spend time with you, they are shareing a thing they value etc.

Sure. It'll probably depend on the occasion, though. If it's Valentine's Day, maybe he'll get you a rose or some chocolates. With your guy's Disneyland trip, he knew you wanted something. He could have just said, "Oh, I didn't have any money" or just forget.
Close, courteous guy friends or infatuateds will always do that to the best of their ability. It's just gentlemanly.

Yes guys will usually try to buy their way into girls hearts but don't take advantage of it. After a while he may feel like you are using him to get material things. Atleast offer to pay before he goes for his cash. He may say no but it's better that you offered than acted like you expect him to pay.

I think you have a good catch. In times like today, money is tight, and for a guy to spend that kind of money for you, well I think that he likes you. It is not everyday that a guy will do that. I would say that he really cares for you and is trying to show it with what he has. Enjoy it but do not abuse it. He may not have much, but what he does have he is willing to give to you.

It doesn't really count. He was being generous. It count's in some ways because he gave you free stuff that you didn't have to pay for.

Or he could just be a nice guy? It's hard to tell, but just because he buys you stuff doesn't mean he "like" likes you.
