Sometimes moving is a good thing. It is good to get away and start over with a clean slate if you get sick of where you're living or if you become a pariah in your town. You should always do your homework before you move somewhere though. A place may look nice enough at first glance but you really have to ask yourself if you'll be happy in a new community. Before you move to a new city know what type of people live there, what there is to do for fun, what the weather is like, etc. Often times you don't really know if you will like a place or not until you have lived there for a year or more. This can be a bad thing if you end up hating the place. I hope you like your new home and I wish you the best of luck with your move!

Moving sucks. It's hard making adjustments to just about everything.
I went to 11 different schools....in my whole life I've moved 28 times. So, I know how it is.
The only good thing is that i can always remember When something happened...because i know where i was living when it happened. Plus, I don't tend to freak out like some of my friends do when things change or if I have to go someplace where I don't know anyone. Those things i'm just used to.
Look at the good parts, hang tough thru the bad.....and this too will change. You know. And keeping in touch with your old friends, even for a little while, helps at first.
Good luck!

I know what you mean. I attended 9 different schools and always seemed to be like the new guy on the block. At least one good thing came of it though. That is that you learn different things from each move and you bring them with you. If you can learn to keep your mouth shut a little and keep you eyes and ears open you can become a better judge of character and that can help you out more in the long run.

Moving is hard. I'll be the first to admit its a big thing to do. but think of it this way...a whole new start. Your past can no longer haunt you. You can become a totally new person and do different things. Its hard but remember everything happens for a reason and you have to think positive. Rome wasn't built in a day and it will take time to adjust. I'm sure you'll learn to love where you are. And when you leave from there, you'll miss it too..

I didn't like it as a kid, but as an adult, I love it. It's a fresh start, a whole new chance to remake myself if I choose.
I know its a hard adjustment for a young person, though. Good luck, dear.

It hurts us all that we have to make new friends. You just have to know that you are a good person and get out there and make new friends and be happy. Enjoy, take care Heather

If they're your true friends, they'll always stay in touch. I know what it is, I'm trying to make new friends and it's very difficult- I didn't just leave my town, I left my country, but I'm missing it a lot, even if it's poorer than this one.
