most females will cry and stick their hind end in the air a lot while keeping their head towards the ground...kind of a yoga move...but the crying is the easiest way to know...they are loud about it

Gee, do you think it could be from the discharge, or maybe the howling while hoping to attract the males in the area. Could it be that there's six male cats hanging out waiting for "Fluffy?"
Any or all of the these three thing are telltale signs.

Well my Friends cat always wanted to go out side.Plus she meow's like a wild cat in heat.You will know the different when she start to meow's.

They will stick their buts in the air a lot and cry LOUDLY and roll on the ground... TRUST ME my cousin has a cat that goes in heat every mounth i know.....bee carful sometimes they will pee on the wall!!!1(EWWWW)

Female kitties look like they are in pain.They walk around yowling and throwing themselves on the floor or walk around with their butts up in the air.
