bathe it once a week in Coat Handler Maintenance shampoo. you're most likely allergic to the dander, not the fur. so keeping him clean, and free of dander is very important. i reccommend you go to a professional groomer. they will most likely give you a great rate for a weekly trip. and they have the tools and equipment to get rid of fur and dander. if you are allergic to it, you should not be the one to groom him. it will only irritate your allergies more because you will be stirring up what ever it is that you are allergic to .
so have it professionally done.
i do a golden every friday at my shop. i do it for $25. and if for some reason, they can't make it, i can swing by their house and pick her up on my way to work. no extra charge. that's my bread and butter. so i kiss a little butt. check it out in your community. i'm sure you'll find someone.
i'm in st louis, so if you're in my area, talk to me

i dont think there is something to use on dogs if you guys have allergies because the dogs hairs its means you might have to take the dogs away or get another pets that you arent allergies by. you can try to get youre dogs groom by having their hairs removed and end up short hairs instead.

ask your veterinarian or local groomer shop for Allergroom shampoo, and also Allergroom spray... this will help to keep down your pets dander, which is the cause of allergies... this shampoo costs about 6.00 for 8 ounces.you can also do an online search for this shampoo and buy it online if its not available in your area.( and it smells good too!)
Detailed Description
ALLERGROOM® SHAMPOO
Moisturizing, hypo-allergenic shampoo with Spherulites® for dry skin in cats and dogs of any age. Unlike drying shampoos, e.g. sulfur, coal tar, selenium, etc., ALLERGROOM cleanses without undue "stripping" of the lipid layer while adding moisture to the stratum corneum. ALLERGROOM contains no known sensitizing agents such as fragrances, soaps or detergents, and is pH controlled to normal canine skin.
