Warning: First and only tats are almost never First and only. It should be fine there. I have a friend who's first and only tat was placed on her inner forearm. She has gotten 5 since. Good luck.

Dude, Unfortunately first you must think what image that tattoo in that location will portray. That's a sweet design, I have a Celtic warrior band on my bicep, but the location may not be the best positing. Do you plan on working in an industry that frowns upon tattoos? If not, then that cool but if so, you might wanna put this on ur upper back, shoulder, upper arm or any location that you can cover up when you're in work attire.
My suggestions are... anywhere you'd like it that will not restrict you from excelling in life or your career.

The design is fine, don't get it below your elbows if you work somewhere that would frown on tattoos (not a tattoo shop or restaurant pretty much).
As for your only tattoo being on your forearm, maybe you should get it more centered so it would look more balanced. The upper back maybe?

Sounds like a nice idea for a design, Id back up the other answers re the location. Be sure before you commit, re covering it up if needs be. Agree with the others as well, ok so sticking to one tatt may work for you. But those of us who had our first, most likely went straight back and checked out the other designs on offer and had more!!!!!
It is addictive.

it will look fine there but i wouldn't get a first tattoo in such a visible spot. have you thought about getting it on the inside of your arm? like right above your elbow? it would be a little bit less noticeable and easier to cover up. just a thought. AND a lot of people start out getting "just one" tattoo and end up with a lot of them... you may catch the fever!

Celtic knots are cool, I have a Celtic (blue ) cross on my inner forearm. I think yours will look good. But tattoos are addicting.

That sound's good but remember you won't always be able to cover it up if you want to. sometimes you can't have tattoos showing at certian jobs. so unless you can wear long sleeves or you work is ok with tattoos then go for it. it sounds like a cool tattoo.
