The world is a sea of flavors, where beer is one on them.

The taste of the drinks depends on the person drinking. I know beers are an old beverage since middle ages and it has also nutritional properties. However too much can make you do things you wouldn't do when sober, :).
I like beer specially the blonde ones and pilsner style. They have an unique flavor not comparable to any other drink.
You might have a try of a good beer with a meety dish, as a barbacue or a hamburger. They fit pretty well.

The point of beer...well 1st I think you are looking for answers in a place that has none. The main point of beer as with any alcholic drink is to dull the sences, loosen a persons inhabitions etc. It is a socila lubricant. The taste is definately an aquired one. In some instances, ie. a long hard hot days work, an ice cold beer tastes god for at least two reasons: 1) It is ICE cold. 2). it is full of carbohydrates, which makes the person feel more satisfied as eating might.

It is an aquired taste. Really most guys I know didn't like it at first. I used to not like it but after you drink a few you really don't mind the taste and doing it long enough you will actually like the taste of it. I also eventually noticed all beers taste different. I would have to say coors light is the best though once you get used to it. It is not as harsh as most beer.

I used to think so too, but lately I've given it a go (my husband insisted!) and some beers are actually quite nice. Depends on the type. Find one that you like and see if you can drink a few sips. Then next time half of it, then a bit more until you can drink a whole one. I had my first whole one a couple of days ago and it wasn't unpleasant at all! I like Carlton Draught and Coopers (I live in Australia). Let us know if you decide to give it a go! :)

Beer is an aquired taste. At first it makes a person puke. Later on the person develops different tastes in beer, much like people have different tastes in cola. Only tough grid-iron people apply.

It's an acquired taste. If you don't like it, don't drink it, and don't try to acquire the taste. Your wallet will thank you. I had two beers with my steak a few nights ago, and the beers were almost as much as the steak. They tasted great, though.

It depends on what kind of beer...I like lager. Some people like ale or bitter, etc. Everyone has their own tastes, some people like more sweet drinks like alcopops, some people prefer rum, gin, vodka etc. You don't have to like beer, you don't even have to drink alcohol if you don't want to! But if you like to, just find something YOU want to drink, who cares why beer is "soo madly popular"? (sic)

No my husband and I agree. It takes gross. I can't understand how people can drink pitchers of it in one sitting when I can't even drink that much in water. I guess you have to grow up on it and have an acquired taste for it. Just like wine. Also I guess it goes with the environment.

beer is the necter of the gods. beer for one is an aquired taste, i know i used to think the same thing. once you have aquired a taste for beer, it can sometimes be the greatest thing you have tasted when you have not had it for a while. first an last, people do not drink for the taste, they drink for the feeling.

You have to develop a taste for it, the first beer I ever had that I truly enjoyed drinking was a Guinness. Try different kinds, you might like one. There are lots to choose from: wheat to oatmeal stout to IPA's to amber ales to cask ales and many more.
Still prefer dark beers, and especially nitrogenated.
