Researchers at the San Raffaele Pisana Rehabilitation Center in the Italian capital of Rome suggests that a strong dose of spirituality aid in stroke recovery, according to a report yesterday in the journal Stroke.
While the report can not prove any "supernatural" aid in the recovery from strokes, it did show that people with strong religious faith experienced less stress, and less depression, and were more motivate to strive for full recovery.
They also experience the aid and support of a caring community through their church. This gave them additional resource to aid in their treatment and recovery. They also have better skills for coping with the illness because of their faith.
So again, medical science confirms that there healing power in faith in God.

Prayer most definitely works, and more and more Hospitals are having people pray for the surgeries that they perform.
I personally have seen several healings though prayer, like a broken leg instantly set without anyone touching it, a blown out knee instantly healed and all pain removed, three people receive site, two people receive hearing, short limbs grow, depression vanish, and many more.

he has set a day.......acts 17;31
that day of ressurection..which is all will be raised to perfection
not instantly after death but (in the end)....john 6:39-40
what ever gifts that were given to 33 pentecost christians(tongues, healing etc) ended....but whats left is....love which is a mark of true christianity
1 corinthians 13:8 says.....But whether there are [gifts of] prophesying, they will be done away with
the real life that god offers is whats stated in (revelation 21:4.)....
he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
whatever was done to lazarus and dead ones in early christians they died again(luke 16:24)....so whats permanent is(ressurection)

Yes, prayer helps. Not only in the ways you mentioned, but there are many well-documented cases of genuine healing of people when prayer was offered in the name of Jesus. Not bad, for someone who was cruelly murdered 2000 years ago!

Been there ... done that ... my prayers for healing and many others go unanswered to date.
What kind of a father when witnessing his child in pain with the knowledge that a part of their faith would die due to this unanswered prayer and many prayers of righteous men would choose to stand back and do nothing? Certainly not any earthly father we would call good.

Prayer defiently is a meditation. It's like we are putting all of our energy and hopes, everything that we worry about , you name it and we are letting them out. And God is filling us back up with joy and happiness.
