i am a personal care aide which a person that takes care of the elderly. any idea on what states have good health care jobs

Texas might be your best choice cuz Texas has cheap furniture,grocery,education fee,house...ect.Every thing there is soc cheap!!And the air quality there is high,too.Its not so crowded like nyc,its a relaxing place for retired people!

The best state i would have to say is Tennessee or Kentucky. I used to live in clarkville have been thinking about moving back. I found a 5BR brand new with a loft and a yard front and back(i do mean yard!) for 167,000 Don't move to Alaska it sucks here may not be sales tax and you get dividends but really expensive a 4br townhouse in the bad side of town in almost 300,000. and that's in Fairbanks I heard it was more in anchorage or Juneau. Even items in the store costs almost a third more then in the lower 48. But Tennessee has all four seasons isn't as humid on the western side of the smokey mountains. Good Luck Choosing!

Phoenix, Arizona is nice, if you can stand the summers. And considering that you care for the elderly, Arizona is a place where many go to retire, so there will be no shortage of jobs in your field. I plan on moving there myself very soon. Google 'cost of living calculator' or visit link below a comparison of gas, food, housing, ect.

STAY OUT OF NEBRASKA..no joke milk is over 3 bucks a gallon..the state tax is insane, and meat forget it...we grown a fat piece of the meat for the entire nation here along with some bordering states...and I just bought atube of hamburger for 11 dollars ..that was 5 pounds of meat...insane..when just a week ago it was 8.....not to mention medical care is crappy unless you live in a big town, like Omaha.

Basically, moving to anywhere in the midwest or southwest will be infinately cheaper than on either coast. I grew up in Wisconsin (quite cheap) but relatives in Missouri and Texas have it even better. Depending on what sort of job you have, your wages may even stay the same as they are now, giving you much more disposable income.

There are news that some government hospitals in New York particularly in Manhattan are closing.
Why dont you try over at New Jersey. Cost of living is a bit lower there.
