Keep her inside and away from male cats.
right now-- it is 'heat season' and most all cats are in heat now.
its best to get her spayed- but only now if a vet is comfortable with doing it while she is "swollen" in heat - the uterus becomes more bloody and swollen-- and the surgery is more risky.
here is what i wrote to someone else about the same problem-
female cats will remain in heat UNTIL they mate-- which the mating process and the spines or barbs on the males penis (stimulates pain) and causes the female to ovulate -- once they ovulate the heat is over (and the only way to ovulate is to mate in cats).
however i do NOT suggest she mate-- instead- if you get her spayed it will eliminate the hormones.
** But i would definately ask the vet if they are 'comfortable' doing a spay when the cat is in heat as it can be more risky. Some vets at 'low cost" high volume spay clinics do them all day so they may say they are more comforatble doing it at this time.
but definately keep HER INSIDE!!

I believe you are indeed having the same problem as I am with my 11 month old, I would take her into any place that would spay her. Might cost a little more with the fact she's in heat, but most spay places will do it with them that way. I am taking mine in asap Or if you have a male cat as well try getting him to mate with her. Mines stupid and won't.

Why? On account that you have not gotten them spayed. They're going to continue to do this except September or October,so that you must name and make an appointment to have all of them spayed. Edit: Sorry,I misread the query. I proposal it stated that they were not spayed. If they're and are nonetheless performing like they're in heat, there may be somethng no longer correct. You have got to ask your vet what the deal is.

She'll do that for about 5 days, and repeat every 3 weeks for most of the year unless she gets pregnant. Call your vet first chance you get and arrange to get her spayed. In the meantime do not let her get near any un-neutered males or you'll end up with kittens.

Keep her away from other cats and keep her inside... Try calling the vet or shelter to see about getting her spayed, make sure they know that she is in heat ( i dont think that will matter much but you never know) Get her spayed ASAP to make sure there isnt any unwanted litters!!!

you cat is on her period....try to keep her calm, pet her, and just try to make her comfortable...its her first time too...and don't let her get around unfixed males...they will breed and until she has the kittens and is done nursing you can't get her spayed. its really not a big deal..its natural and happens all the tim. though she may cry a lot...its just because she is uncomfortable and wants to get some action.

Have patience to get through this because every tom in town can smell her, don't let her out unles you want kittens. Take her to get spade when the heat is over. If you don't get her done she will end up with litter after litter or driving you nuts.

You must take her to the vet and get her spayed. If you don't she will somehow manage to get pregnant no matter what you do. The vet can spay her while she is in heat. Do not wait on this. It will drive you and her crazy.
