The first details were reported in the New York Times February 10, with ponderous quotations from leaked classified intelligence documents--the same style that disgraced former Times reporter Judith Miller used to parrot White House lies about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Ironically, that same day, the Times also published a story about an internal Department of Defense investigation that finally confirmed the Pentagon’s Office of Special Plans, headed by Doug Feith, had produced intelligence reports about WMDs that were completely bogus. More demonstrations and activism are essential to oppose Bush’s threats to Iran and oppose the U.S. war machine.

Where to start..."There weren't WMD's in Iraq". Yes, there were. We've found hundreds, plus bio-warfare trailers, plus several have been used in IED attacks (where, fortunately, the agents failed to disperse), plus a history of their use against Iran and Kurds. Plus, evidence of their transport to Syria (testimony by the pilots who flew them there and the officers responsible), plus plans, plus tons of evidence of the programs being ready for reconstitution plus...Does it really matter HOW much evidence is piled in front of you? Probably not. You'll just keep parroting the "No WMD!" line in absolute ignorance of history, evidence, and the conclusions of every intel agency from the CIA to MI6, to the Mossad to Saddam's own folks who felt there was a viable WMD threat. So we'll move on. No sense arguing with a pig, as they say - wastes your time and just annoys the pig.

Then you imply that the EFP IED's aren't real, or aren't from Iran. Are you really this ignorant? Where do you think they come from? Sweden? The fact that YOU'RE just now noticing that they're getting some media attention doesn't mean that those of us who've been actually following events there - particularly through the on-the-ground reporting of folks like Bill Roggio, Michael Yon, and others - haven't noticed them. Do you think these are the sorts of things you manufacture in your basement? Maybe pop down to the corner chemist's and have a go? Have you - in your copious free time away from making more giant puppet heads or buying Che' Guevera shirts on-line - noticed the capture of Iranian Qods agents? The military hospitals have their hands full. Who is doing forensic work anyway? Have we seen even one autopsy report? On even one US troop?
