Never thought of that...? Mmmmmm.....He is supposed to be "evil" or so I always thought. He's not really punishing them. It's more punishment for the people sent there. The devil is just the head of it all. I don't think he's down there partying with them....maybe....lol Thanks...like I wanted to think tonight!! :P

One of the names of the Devil is "the Evil One". The word used hear is an evil like the evil of a cancerous tumor - which spreads until all is destroyed.
He knows he is doomed, but means to drag as many humans down to hell with him as he can. He is not yet in hell, but actually lives in the lower heavens, over the earth. He hates humans because they are made in the image of God. When God, in the person of Jesus Christ became a man, he saw to it that men murdered Him. But God completely turned things around by allowing Jesus to pay the penalty for the sins of all men while He hung on the cross, then after being buried for three days, God raised Him from the dead, and defeated the power of death which the devil held. Now Jesus promises to give the same eternal life that He has to everyone who turns away from evil and asks Him to be their Savior.
The Devil is as evil as evil can be, but Jesus has overcome him by the power of God. If you do not have Jesus as your Lord, you will surely have the Devil as your master, and he has nothing in mind for you but evil.

Without question! It/she/him is the definition of evil. Why "wouldn't he want to reward them ..?" - BECAUSE HE IS EVIL! He revels in others' misery. The word "reward" doesn't exist in his dictionary. A reward is a good thing received for deeds well done - Nothing he is involved in is well done - it is painfully done, agonizing, excruciating, and any and all means of pain and hardship. -- he is a lost soul, to be eternally damned and his only strength, comes from the weakness of others. BOTTOM LINE - THE DEVIL IS A PUS*Y, A LIAR AND A CHEAT!!!

There is no such thing as evil. What most call evil is the absence of good, some say absence of love energy. There is no such thing as darkness. It is the absence of light, some call it love energy. What is ignorance other than the absence of knowledge? Start from here and figure out the rest of the answer for yourself, it will be fun. Cheers !!!

IF the devil knew he was doomed, wouldn't it be smart to drag as many as you can with you? (And I guess punishing evil people would keep him from being bored, eh?)

it depends on ur beliefs and ur religion. me, being a catholic, i strongly agree that he is evil. he treats them cruely because he is pure evil. if all of the evil, hate, and trators could be put into one being, it would be the devil. he cant feel ne good feelings, therefore he cannot congradulate, because that has positive feeling in it.

the devil doesnt punish people- who said that?
its just his job to lead people astray. he rebelled against God, refusing, out of his arrogance to do what God wanted of him and he wanted time to get his revenge and get as many people in hell with him
so he is an enemy to you and therefore treat him as such and dont you follow his ways (i.e dont worship him(his ways))
On judgment day, he will forsake anyone who followed him by saying that "i never forced him/her to do anything"
