I'm married now, but I wasn't a virgin when I got married. My husband and I are both Christians and we didn't wait for marriage. Was it the right thing to do, according to spiritual standards? No, I guess it wasn't. However, we all make mistakes. In my opinion, I feel its more important that abstinence before marriage be stressed as a health issue and not a religious one. I commend anyone who has the strength and willpower to wait it out.

Well, I'm widowed. When I married him we were BOTH virgins. I was 18 and he was 24. Been widowed over 5 years.
I am currently dating. And have chosen to have a celibate/chaste lifestyle until I remarry.
The idea of chasity and celibacy in a relationship for me is the best policy. I have found too many people getting caught up in relationships and unable to see 'the red flags' because they've simply got the 'hots' for each other.
Does this mean that this lifestyle is easy? Hell no. But it is the right one. Self respect, and respect for God's laws make it easier

I'm not married, I'm religious, and I am still a virgin.
Yes, I'm waiting for marriage. Haven't kissed a guy yet - but then, I'm young.

Obviously not; I'm not married because I am divorced.
And don't assume all people who are religious are Christian, I'm an Asatruar.
