Is it ok to drink and smoke with ceramic braces? You know, the clear ones? If so, any thing I should know about? I need tips, advice!!!

I had those braces, and I am screaming DONT DO IT!!! Unless, you brush immediatly. It will leave stains. I had them for six years and I know this all too well. I smoked the whole time I had them, the stains are faint (because I brushed a lot) but they are still there. Mustard is also very bad and should be avoided, as well as all dark drinks (coffee, soda). Be sure to brush with baking soda, this will reduce the stains somewhat. Good luck.

From my own adventure and billions of human beings, you are able to drink pop with braces. I only wish you do no longer drink like 5 cans an afternoon! which would be undesirable with or devoid of braces haha

Smoking, drinking sodas and coffee and certain foods will stain them. When I had them I avoided those things and did pretty well, but it's hard when you eat something with mustard for instance and can't brush right away. Good luck if you're a smoker and or coffee drinker.

as an Orhtodontic Assistant I wanted to let you know that ceramic braces are very suseptable to stains. you should aviod smoking, soda's, tea, marinara sauce and coffee.

I have never heard of a reason why you shouldn't having to do with braces.
