what do you mean? about the species of a wolf? or about wolves in general?
there are different kinds of wolves, you know. the most common (and I use that term very loosely, since all kinds are either threatened or endangered) are the gray wolf, canis lupus, and the red wolf, canis rufus. they're all so adorable! and soo *sniff* misunderstood.

There are several different species of wolf, ranging from Grey to Red to hybrid etc. If you are doing a project requiring information on them use your search engine and type in Wolves. If you are planning on owning a hybrid I CAUTION you. They are not your average house dog. They require a LOT and I stress A LOT of care. Your township or county may even have regulations against owning one or may require you to register it. PLEASE DO your research before choosing to own one, either a hybrid or a pure. They are a wild creature and do not possess the same type of qualities that allow our dogs to be domesticated(i.e wildness bred out over eons). They can be tamed and trained, however they are rarely 100% reliable. They are great animals, however they should not be purchased by anyone who is not prepared. Good luck.
