12 large eggs, room temperature
1. Place eggs in a large saucepan. Cover them with cool water by 1 inch. Slowly bring water to a boil over medium heat; when the water has reached a boil, cover and remove from heat. Let sit 12 minutes.
2. Transfer eggs to a colander; place under cool running water to stop the cooking. Eggs can be peeled and served immediately. Remaining eggs, with shells on, may be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

The number of eggs will not make a difference,it's the same 15-20 minutes, proceed as you always do.Make sure you have a vessel roomy enough for all the eggs & enough water in the pan to stand well over the level of the eggs.

The number of eggs does not matter. Bring water to a full boil and then remove pot from heat and cover. Then set the timer:
15 min for hard
10 min for med
5 min for soft
Experiment with times for your taste. You will find the results are the same every time for a given amount of time.

Here's the easy way.
Put them all in a pot in cold water.
Put the pot on the stove and turn the heat on high.
When the water starts to boil, set the timer for 8 minutes. Turn the heat down so the boiling isn't too rough.
After 8 minutes take the pot from the heat, drain and pout cold water over to stop the cooking. You're done!

Make sure they're in one layer in a wide pot covered with about an inch of cold water. Bring to a boil, boil for 15 minutes, drain, shake the pan to crack the shells, cover with cold water and wait 15 minutes. Hard-boiled and the shells will slip right off.

I don't know why people are telling you 20 minutes....gosh do you want them to be rubberized?! When I boil eggs, you put all your eggs in a pot (a large one if you're boiling alot). Cover them with cold water then bring to a boil. Once they've started boiling, now you time them. Ten minutes for hard boiled. Then rinse under cold water till cool, then peel. It's simple....good luck!

Number of eggs does not matter. Cover them with water. Bring them to a boil. TURN OFF THE HEAT, but keep them covered for about 15 minutes..... Pour off hot water, cover in cold water... crack all shells... pour out and add more cold water! Peel and enjoy!
ps - some keep them boiling the whole time... does NOT speed up cooking and may cause a lot of 'gray' over yolk and increased 'sulfur' smell....

Boil for 20 minutes. Just make sure all the eggs are completely submersed in the water.
