The lessons taught in the bible are still valid.
Here's and extra-bibilcal example.
Take the story of the tortoise and the hare. It is timeless and the lesson will always apply.
Same is true of the bible. God is always. His story (HiStory) is always applicable.

They are letters, that are over 2000 years old. But within these letters is a message. The message is in the form of riddles.
They are like the the modern day riddle
" a father and son get into a car accident and are taken to the hospital, the doctor at the hospital says; "I can't operate on this child he my son" Who is the doctor? only a person that has an understanding would know the the doctor is the child's mother.
You must have overcome the accepted truth that only men can be doctors, and be able to accept the truth.
Men often say something is true, because it benefits them to do so, not because it is true. To find out the truth, you must not only hear and read the words for yourself, you but forget all that you have be taught.
Example: Many would have you believe that Jesus said He was the only way to get into heaven, and that all that believe on his name will get into heaven, right? You have been deceived. Read the 4 Gospels for yourself, and learn the truth, then ask yourself why?.

Not only is the Bible a manual for us humans to go by, but it is our daily bread. It is literally "soul food." It is required of Christians to feed the inner man, being the Holy Spirit. If we do not read at least 20 chapters daily, we are starving the Spirit within us. Christians if you don't believe that, then put the idea to the test and see how much stronger you become spiritually. As for the unbelievers, you are not going to understand the Word because you do not have the Spirit to guide you in godly wisdom. Many who read the Bible and are not Christians either are seeking Christ, or are trying to find ways to dispute God and His children.

Why do people still read Shakespere? Homer? Jackie Collins? Because every time you read them, you notice something new. The bible was written by 66 men in a period of about 3 thousand years. In a human lifetime, we cannot grasp the full meaning of such a book, even if we read everyday!

The link did not work for me. However, if you really want an answer to a serious question (ie - you are not just trying to be insulting but honestly searching for Truth), just email me. If I do not know the answer, I can find one for you.

Myself and people at my church study the Bible because we want
to know HIM. It's HIS manual for those who believe that Jesus
is the Christ the ONE, TRUE GOD. That's simple dude!
It's not just another book, it's GOD BREATHED by HIS HOLY
SPIRIT! 2Tim. 2:14-15 ,2 Tim. 4:3-4 and 2 Tim. 3:16.

Why do people still read the Bible? It is a way to learn more about Jesus, what he did on Earth, what He can do for you, how He can do it.
You learn about the eternal judgement that is going to occur. You can read about various people's testimonies on SpiritLessons.com

Some questions don't get answered because they are too broad, too complicated, or too misleading.
Remember, asking a question does not make you deserving of an answer.
When you ask, you are leaving yourself open for the gift of answers.
