i got some good answers, what i was trying to ask is, on yahoo messenger is there a specific room for like sothern california chatting online?

Check your local newspaper for singles ads, if you want to only chat online you can use Yahoo Singles, or Yahoo Personals and type in the area you'd like to chat within. There is also other chat sites, type in a search. Good luck!

I love San Diego..the beaches..the weather...I miss it! Well, to answer your question I would go out. Anywhere...to the beach, movies, restaurants...make friends! If you are too shy for that go online ...there are tons of internet dating sites. Or you can join a team if you are outdoorsy like a volleyball team. My friend did that and he made a lot of friends. Just be active and keep doing things that you like to do. You are bound to meet someone! Have fun!

maybe you should try an online dating service or go out to clubs.If your not into clubs try going to bookstores. gyms or other places where you can meet new people.If you want to try an online dating service if your in the military try loveinuniform.com or maybe marinecorpssingles.com

I live in Orange County.....I talk to people by getting to know them and having 'conversations' Really. It's not that hard.
