mary was a virgin? Please stop me if im being horrible or upsetting,this is a genuine question and not an excuse to have a go.Anyway mary and joseph didnt have sexual relations,yet shes pregnant,joseph believed it was devine intervention,but a question to all male christians,what would you do if your wife was pregnant and you hadnt had sexual intercourse?
Would you believe her if she said she had been visited by an angel,who told her she was carrying the son of god,in this day and age she would be the victim of domestic violence,why did joseph just accept what she said,what would your reaction be.
Again no nasty intention intended,just curious.Thanks

very good question,lindsey. i would want to belive her,but i really don't know. mary and joseph were visited by a messenger an (angel).i guess that would make a big difference in my decision.without something like that,i couldnt HONESTLY say what i would do. a lot of prayer,thats for sure

IF you read the entire story in the bible, Joseph didnt believe Mary at first. So much so, that he intended to divorce her privately, because publically divorsing her would cause her to be stoned to death in the village square.

Joseph cared for Mary, but didnt believe that she had not had sex with someone.

Then, Joseph was visited by an angel who told him the same thing Mary had told him. THe angel told Joseph not to fear and that mary was still pure, having not had sex to conceive the child.

It was then that Joseph believed and went and took Mary as his wife from her parents home.

So, no he didnt just believe her and that ended it, he received confirmation of her story from Gods messangers, the angels.

An angel appeared to Joseph, too, and told him to not be afraid to take Mary as his wife. Before that happened, he did indeed, intend to privately end their engagement. When he learned this was all God's plan he gladly obeyed God.

mary is absolutely virgin. she got pregnant due to miracle, not because of sexual intercourse with any man. so, there is no such thing whether joseph accepted her or not. she is different from ordinary women, that in her case, no man ever touched her excpet her father, and then she devouted her life to God, alone in a highly secured place.

Its a freakin fable. the Bible was written at its EARLIEST TIME 30-70 years AFTER jesus died...so who was around when he was born? Or, even before his birth? NO ONE. The OT said that the Messiah would be born of a virgin (as ALL religions claim), so Jesus CLAIMED to be born of a virgin to make himself out to be Messiah.
