Because generally people want other people to think like they do. Atheists are as bad or worse than religious people because they claim to do it for the good of the world, and condemn religion for doing exactly the same as they do, see nondescripts answer. In fact, they also use emotional manipulation and cause just as much trouble. Remember Stalin was an atheist, Mao was an atheist, Castro is an atheist. So, you cannot blame all the world's troubles on religion.

Religion is self-propagating. It's religion's business to get more converts. To do this, it must convince the converts to get even more converts. This is done through emotional manipulation.
I'm an atheist. I care about other people's beliefs because of the harm that religion is doing in the world.

because some people are so into their religion that they think it should be imposed on everyone because to them,their religion is the right one,the only one,and all others are wrong. Some people dont understand other religions because they think that exploring and thinking about other religions is an immoral sin. Other people are just closed minded.

For some it's a matter of truly attempting to 'help' another. For others it's just perpetual bull. Why can't we just leave each other the hell alone?!

To me it is because I 100% believe in Jesus Christ and know that because I have accepted Him, I am going to heaven and I want to share that with everyone I know/meet so that they can be in heave with me.

Personally I don't care, as long as it's not shoved in my face...Or I have to read someone else's opinion (as if it's the only one that matters). Reading an opinion is cool, as long as it's understood that that's all it is.

I know Christians have a reason. Athiests are going to hell - we don't want them to. This is a very good reason.
As to why (most, not all, don't jump on me here.) Athiests desire to convert Christians, I have no idea.
