Just watch for symptoms of diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and vomiting. If he starts to have any of those, then he needs to go to the ER . The case does need to be reported if he does fall ill
Salmonella does not necessarily kill, there are several reported cases every year and most people survive it. It's just miserable as heck and you wish that you were dead.
The brands of peanut butter that were effected were Walmart's Great Value and Peter Pan.

Yep...that's the one! People have gotten sick and even needed a trip to the hospital but no one has died. Watch your dad for diarrhea and get him to the doctor before it gets out of hand.

Throw it out now.
Then go to the site below and search for salmonella. Watch your father for the symptoms.

Why are you so parinoid? Just because you buy peanut butter doesn't mean its dangrous. I, myself, like peanut butter and I am perfectly healthy.

the only way peanut butter will kill you is if the knife you use to spread it on the bread slips and cuts your throat
