I agree with you. Dale Sr. left the company to his wife, NOT his son.

From everything that I have read and heard about Jr. considering making a change is due to the fact that Teresa had stirred the pot at DEI and made a published remark that Jr. needs to decide if he wants to be a NASCAR driver or a personality. If Jr. were not the so called personality that he is accused of being by Teresa I feel that Budweiser might not be so successful either. Also, in my opinion, DEI would probably not exist at this point if not for Jr. I agree with you that if a company is built by my husband it should be left to the wife but at the same time it is not the wife who is driving the car and having the hectic schedule that Jr. does. Successfully, I might add. He dad created DEI and his legacy lives on with Jr., not Teresa!!! Therefore, I feel that Jr. should have at least 51% of the company and continue to be the person that he is.

i think junior should do just like his dad did,he should build his own team while continuing to drive for the team that gave him his fame and fortune, junior is a nobody without what his father gave him, just like sr was a nobody until childress gave him 7 championships, all you johnny came lately nascar fans haven't a clue how much teresa had to do with sr and his succes, that company was not built for jr, it was built so sr would be able to be a car owner once he retired,jr has every right to own a team he also has every right to do it with his own money and hard work, every person at dei was originally picked sr, that company was then run by childress after sr died the only reason jr hasn't had a championship is because of jr himself,we all saw how good his team did last year with martin truex,he went from a 1st place bush team to a 20th place cup team,sr raced for more than 20 years before he was able to build his own team, most of it with teresa at his side, teresa has paid her dues,jr still has a way to go in my eyes, junior has proved he doesn't know any more than teresa how to build a winning cup team 20th place is a long way from the chase much less a championship, when his team starts making the chase and she doesn't than maybe she should let him take charge but not until then if ever, there are a lot of other great drivers out there besides jr without a championship,he should stop his whining and get back to racing,if his father were alive to see this he would give jr his walking papers,if you don't think so you just didn't know the intimidator

Dale created the company for his kids, especially for Jr. ... Jr should get control at some point, but I don't think that time is now. Teresa should work out some deal where he gets a certain percentage of the company each year. Spread it out over many years. That being said, I don;t think he should get51% of the company ever. All of the kids should get some percentage of the company at some point down the road... and Teresa should also retain some ownership rihts.

Early word out of Nascar (Drivers), think that Dale Jr. isn't ready to be an Owner in Nextel Cup. Dale built that company, and I think if he was still alive Jr. would have a lot to do with it. More than he does now, but Dale would still own it, lol. But Teresa on the other hand was Dale's wife! I think they need to work it out, and if Jr. wants to leave, then do it. But that also shows that when things don't go your way, you abandon ship. No one wants an owner like that. And trust me, as an owner things go wrong, everyday! They both need to compromise. But if he does leave and go to RCR (Richard Childress Racing), lets see the black number 3 Goodwrench back on the feild!! I think it's time.
P.S.
Rest In Peace Dale Earnhardt.
6 years this Sunday.
First year since his death it landed on a Sunday again. Let's not forget that this raceday. Greatest driver ever.

You can't make a decision until you both sides of the story. I don't know her and neither does anyone else responding. I didn't see Dale Sr's will and neither did anyone else responding. The only version of the story is the speculative version of the fans and a little sampling from Dale Jr. I'm sure that there is a lot more to this whole story that we will never hear. Business women never seem to fare well in the public eye and Teresa will be no different. But that doesn't mean that she did anything wrong.

The company was probably hers technically while Dale was alive because of tax benefits for being a minority (female) owned business. This is common in the business world. So it is probably hers to run as she sees fit. Now, with that gibberish stated, she has lost NAPA and Michael. If she loses Jr and Budweiser, DEI is probably history.

I never though to say this, but in this one I'm with Jr.
Teresa seems to have not much of influence in the race team, and I don't really like her.

I am on her side but I also am not. One she only seems to be interested in the money. But she also help Dale Earnhardt with his business side.
