It does not affect me at all. I do not accept everything in the Bible as truth. It is still the inspired word of God. But not every teaching in the Bible is applicable to our time and culture. There are many things in the Bible which are there for cultural, historical, geographic or poetic reasons. We have to distinguish teachings which have something to do with our salvation from those that have nothing to do with it.That's why Jesus appointed his Church to interpret Sacred Scripture for everyone.

The fact that my salvation is dependant on grace and faith, rather than works is truly liberating. Having said that, let me also say that works are important, and are possible in His power. It astounds me how perfect Scripture is, showing our need of YAHOSHUA, and that He came while we were without strength, to minister to our needs.
