well cindy you have to think about how you feel. if you really trust this guy all you have to do is tell him upfront i dont want to abandon my friends. let him know your friends are a big part of your life. if he likes you then he will understand and who knows you could be treated like a princess for a long time.

You guys both like each other, so go for it.
If the only reason your friends say no is that it would hurt your friendship, and not that he's a player or that he doesn't treat people well, then y'all should build on your friendship and take it to the romantic level.
The best relationships are always built on friendships, or at least that's what I've heard and experienced.
I'm glad your friends are honest with you though; it helps to be around people like that.

its a tough one. i've been on one end of this. She actually decided not to go through with it in fears that it would hurt our seven year friendship. Well the relationship still was changed and a little over a year later, things remain a bit strange because feelings just don't disapear.
I would have to say, if you really share those feelings then go for it. its better to love and loose than to not try and live to regret your choice.

well if its true love you dont have to care about the other people say, also he asked you and you love him if you have been asked to date for the guy you love that also you love you just have to say yes, if both of you are friends, if you broke up, you will end as friends, take it as a chance to know him better, and believe me that he would treat you different as he treated you as a friend, don't take on mind what people say (including me) just date him and the things will be gifted themselves, also have in mind that he was your friend only because you liked him and to have an opportunity to get close to you and ask you date, i have done it before

well if u like him then u should it's ur life not ur friends, but from past experiences be careful b/c it could hurt ur friendship with him. u could end up hating each other and then things would become awkward. but if u really like him go for it or else u'll always say "what if..?"
