my hair is dark brown, straight, and silky and is currently cut into choppy layers with the shortest at two inches below my chin and the longest at two inches below my shoulders. i have a round face and part my hair to the side with the part off-center. i'm thinking of getting bangs but i'm not sure if i should. what kind of bangs (if any) should i get?

BC you will tire of them and its a pain in the beehind to grow them out. Trust me Ive been thru the bangs phases too...my hair is still growing.

Even with a description of your hair, no one will be able to tell you what you should do without at least a picture. (I'm not suggesting posting one here of course, just making a point.)
What I did when deciding to change my hairstyle was put a mirror right beside my computer and go through every website I could find with pictures of celebrities until I found someone whose face had the same shape as mine (shape is all that matters when selecting hair style, if you dye your hair, then you should contemplate skin tone.)
Once you find your celebrity (or celebrities if you can't find one perfect person,) look for lots of pictures of them. Since they are famous and rich, they tend to change their hairstyles a lot, so you can check out many different styles on them. Print out a few of your favorites and ask your friends/stylist what they think.

Go for it! If where u live is not too hot, why not? bangs are always fun and if ur face is round, opt for a really blunt Asian bang(flat and straight across) rather than a big ol' bouncy bang because they'll just make ur face lQQk bigger and rounder.

Definitely! I think side bangs compliment ANY hairstyle! They are easy to style and care for, just make sure they get cut on a regular basis! Otherwise they can get in your way!
