Does anyone know how to do this, if so please tell me, I've been trying to learn how to do these for months, my friend knows and all he says its all about balance and i've seen it done in the rocky films and they make it look so easy.

If you want to start doing them, no one has said how to break yourself into them, work your way up. Start by doing staggered press ups. One arm forward and one arm back, this puts more pressure on the forward arm and gets you use to the pressure, so eventually you will be able to take your back arm away. Hope this helps

it can be deceiving and makes u look stronger then u actually are

lots of people spread the legs really wide and put there loose arm behind there back and twisting the body away from the arm Ur pressing with, this way is much easier and i can perform these with ease but if u get in a normal pressup position then just lift one arm up and try to press u will find it very difficult especially with balancing. well this is because to do the exercises that way u need not only very strong arms and chest but VERY strong abdominal to keep u from falling to the side

if u want my advice just keep to regular pressups and if they are to easy then do jumping pressups

Its very much about balance/technique however you sill need o have some strength to do it.

Spread your legs quite wide with your weak side leg out at alomst 90 degrees to the other one which is only a slight angle out, from there put the strong arm on the ground with weak arm behind your back or resting on the weak leg, swivel your weak leg onto its toe twisting the hips slithly from here you should be able to do the press up alot easier

Your friend is right it is all about balance, keep one hand on your back and your legs shoulder width, your hand should be at the centre not at the side, this will help you with your balance. Of course you should be quite fit to do them, also try doing it in a rolling motion.I would also advise you this slightly easier way: say you are doing them on your right hand, rather than putting your left hand on your back put it on the left side of your bum, this will force you to turn slightly, keep your legs apart and then try and do a few. After you can do this pretty well try the proper (harder) way!

Feet wide, take one arm away tuck it behind your back, the front shoulder of the arm that you are balancing on drop it, as far as you are strong enough to the hand on the floor. Get good at press-ups first before trying this, good luck

Balance is the main issue doing these.Get down in the regular position and lean to the side your working.Put your other arm against the opposite leg and hold yourself steady while pushing up.It is practice that makes these easier.

Start with your legs spread a little further than shoulder width apart, put one hand behind your back an the other central infront of your face on the deck an crack on, it helps if you use a rolling motion, for some reason its easier for me to do it with my left arm an thats my weaker one!!!

There easy, took me abt 1-2 weeks to train for one It would probably kill your shoudlers since it takes much harder time to stabilize then a bench press but if all you ever did is pushups youll be fine just take your time

It isn't a matter of technique--beyond copying the body position you've already seen in the movies. It is a matter of muscular strength, developed by practice.
