So I sit and write and ponder, while the house is deaf
and dumb. Seeing visions over yonder of the war I know
must come. In the corner-not a vision-but a sign of
coming days, stands a box of ammunition, and a rifle
in green baize. And in this, the living present, let
the word go through the land. Every tradesman, clerk
and peasant, should have these two things at hand. No,
no ranting song is needed, and no meeting, flag or
fuss-In the future, still unheeded, shall the Spirit
come to us. Without feathers, drum or riot, on the
day that is to be. We shall march down very quiet,
to our stations by the sea. While the bitter parties
stifle every voice that warns of war. Every man should
have a rifle. And cartridges in store.

If you are writing it for the right reasons. There can come a time when we must take up arms. We, the People have certain powers in our hands to protect our families, friends, and country from usurpers of power, criminals, and enemies, foreign and domestic. We must be prepared. We all should be at least as well armed as the enemy.
If everybody carried their guns with them, crime would be almost non-existant, our jails would be under-crowded, and we could stop any terrorists dead in their tracks no matter where he was.
Fact: Only you can protect you and yours. The police can only come when a victim has been created. They are under no obligation to put their lives in jeopardy to help anyone. The government can't protect you from anything either, no matter what law they come up with.

That is great , if you wrote it nice. Have people pay for your stuff.
I feel it means stop the war and the killing or the day of judgement will be upon us. It says man should have rifle and cartridges in store, I think rifle is women and cartridges are our children. That means we should love our family, protect them and fight the war that is the rest of the world who doesn't see it your family way. That is what I got out of it.

VERY good!!! You should submit that to "Soldier of Fortune". In many cultures of days gone by, a father had not fulfilled his obligations if he failed to give his son a rifle and the training necessary to use it.
