you ask how you can get your MOTHER to shut up and then you say "nice responses only"
oh please.
Maybe you should listen to her every now and then and she wouldn't have to keep saying the same thing over and over and over and over.
get it?

Let her know, that you can't concentrate if she interrupts your studies, Let her know, you will come and ask her for help if you need it, and devise a sign for your door that says: Quiet, Studying.
Do not use the sign for other things or she may get mad at you.
Let her know that you must concentrate and learn by yourself to do well on the exam! If this all fails, simply find a new place to study. Take your books, notebook, pens, and walk to the library or to a friends house, or some other place where you can be left alone, like the park. Take a cell phone with you for emergencies, but turn it off while you study.

Be very firm that you have to have a quiet place to study....go to the library....or find another location. Your mother is probably lonely for company or someone to talk to....you just have to change things so you can get your studying done.
And it isn't o.k. not to graduate....but there are alternatives....my grandson at 10th grade was so bored in his classes, he took the GED test and went on to Jr. College....then college ...was able to finish two years earlier. Not everyone has to do things the same way...but you do need to finish. You will regret it later if you don't.
(I'm assuming you are in the USA).

I would first ask nicely. You can try hiding i.e. locking your door with headphones on. If all else fails I go to a nearby coffee shop that's open 24/7. You could also go to a 'serious' friend's house, by serious I mean one that you won't screw around with/distract yourselves from work and get zero studying done.

Most resonable parents should understand "I really can't talk now, I've got to study for a big exame" but perhaps shutting your door and make a "SHHHHHHHHH!! Do not Disturb, Studying" sign on your door might help.

If she's talking to you, say, "Mom is there anything I can do for you, because I'll stop studying if you need to talk to me."
If she's blabbing on the phone too loudly, go into another room.
If she's talking to anybody and everybody in the house, who will listen to her, ask her if she minds if you go study at the library or a friends house.

1. Make sure she knows that you are studying.
2. Tell her that you study better in a quiet environment.
3. Promise to get back to her during your study break.

Find out if what she wants is important. Maybe if you give her 10 minutes of your time, then explain that you really need to study but you are glad the two of you can communicate. She will appreciate your time and your commitment to your studies.

That sounds like a really weird situation. Just tell her kindly that you need so space so you can study. Somehow I don't think we are getting the whole picture though.
Good Luck!!!
