You can, but two things will happen: 1) it will increase the effectiveness of the alcohol (you will get drunk faster) and 2) it will decrease the effectiveness of the meds so it may end up not clearing up your infection.

you can, but the alcohol will diminish the effects of the anti-biotics, so you will not be doing your body any good. It's best to wait until you are finished with the meds, for about a week before you drink.

From the Answer Spot : "You can drink alcohol while you are on the antibiotic "Amoxicillin", but it is not recommended. If you take your amoxicillin with alcohol (at the same time) it can possibly cause an upset stomach and other similar symptoms. It is best to refrain from alcohol while on antibiotics. However, if you choose to drink alcohol, you should put some time between when you take your antibiotic and consume alcohol. "

No! Mixing drugs (even perscription) w/ alcohol can be a very risky combination - even deadly. Who wants to get drunk when they're sick? That's not right, wait until you're healthy & off your meds.
