I easily were raising finches for about 6months. The lack of feathers might want to be 3 issues. the female might want to be below pressure out noticeably if she hasn't ever raised chicks in the previous. 2: the male might want to be choosing on her because she would not opt to reproduce. 3: you'll have mites, yet when the feathers are being lost on her head it really is probably choosing. be particular you provide a finch nest and more than a number of textile, the finches opt to %. it in. also sparkling out the nest cloth after each and every brood is out of the nest and flying round by technique of themselves(to stay away from mites). do not complication if the first time would not artwork out, the finches can now and again be beaten. To seize a finches you want to be calm and attempt to pass slowly. conceal mirrors and homestead windows so as that they don't fly into them and get harm. in case you may not seize them such as your palms squirt their feathers or throw a towel over it. sturdy success.

Normally it would sound like your bird is molting....but if its poo is gooey, i would take him to a vet right away. Remember birds are vulnerable, and hide sickness very well. Also, take the birds, and if you have another cage, put the one in a different room and quarantine them, if its a respitory infection, the other bird can catch it. Take it to the vet, and have him checked...Dont wait, because if you wait, it could be too late.

Take him to the vet right away! I think he's sick, but I'm not sure. I had a canary that had the same problem and he died. I'm not trying to scare you, but I don't want what happend to my bird to happen to yours.
