It could be allergies. My teeth, not my gums, used to itch from my allergies (before I got allergy shots). Your sinuses are above the roots of your teeth and if they are inflamed from allergies (making you sneeze or be stuffed up), they can irritate the nerves of your teeth, making them feel itchy. Ask your doctor but that was my experience with itchy teeth.

I had "itchy teeth" when I switched migraine medications (allergic reaction) and now again, obviously because I am sick. Wasn't aware the sinuses were directly above the nerves of the teeth, ty asker's choice "Sue." Finally some answers, I thought I was going insane and so was everyone else, "itchy teeth, what?, Laura, you're weird!" LOL! Thanks again.

I had an itchy tooth about 2 weeks before a dental appointment. When they took the XRays, they found that I needed a root canal.

Your teeth or your gums itch?
If it's your teeth, see your dentist.
If it's your gums, you may need to change toothpaste
