Thats difficult. Bad Breath occurs when the person sleeps with his/her mouth open. They breath through the mouth and that causes the mouth to dry out. Thus causing bad breath. Everybody has it. Though not everybody realises it. It is perticularly prevalent in smokers and drinkers (i do both and you should sniff mine in the morning...actually you really don't!). A remedy is to brush teeth and floss and gargle with mouth wash. also try to sleep with a nose strip. As this will open the nasal cavity and allow you to breath more easily through the now while you are asleep. You can't stop someone breathing through their mouth but you can politly ask him to brush their teeth in the morning before kissing or talking.
Hope this helps

It could be a lot of things. Your partner COULD have gum disease, an infection in his/her mouth, or he/she just eats bad smelling food before going to bed without brushing his/her teeth. When you are not digesting your food properly, the smells from your stomach can come up and be smelled through your mouth. Also, if his PH balance is off in his mouth (usually due to bacteria) then it would make his breath smell bad. Also, smoking CAN cause bad breath.
My advise is to get your partner to go to the dentist, and find out for certain what the problem is. It could be something small (brush your teeth!) or it could be something really important (diabetes can give you bad breath due to high-blood sugar, an infection in your teeth/gums could give you bad breath.)
Many of the people who died in the middle-ages died of teeth-related problems. It's crazy, but it's true. They didn't take care of their teeth, and so they died of infections in their mouth.
Anyway, good luck with the bad breath, and get it looked at if brushing and gargling doesn't help!

Most people have bad breath when they wake up in the morning...you probably do too, you just don't notice it yourself. You could try to politely ask him to keep some breath-strips by his bed and pop one in right away when he wakes up. Also, make sure he's flossing, brushing, and rinsing (in that order) before he goes to bed and not eating or drinking anything but water afterwards.

Stop boozing the night before, seek help from a dentist, brush teeth before going to bed and rinse with a mouth wash.

It might not be his teeth, it could be diet, or if he breaths through his mouth while sleeping, gently brushing the tongue with toothbrush while brushing teeth before sleeping might also help. There are fresh breath clinics who will diagnose the course and help with diet etc.

Our breath is always bad in the morning, since when we sleep bacterias acumulate in the mouth. The only solution for this is to wash his mouth... and well we all know that we need to brush our teeth everyday...

Most everyone wakes up with bad breath. If it continues then I would worry. He could have a tooth decay. Or it could just be his bacteria in his mouth.
According to my dental hygenist she says everyone has their own level of bacteria in their mouth causing dental caries or bad gums even if they do brush.

Nobody wakes up with nice breath, not even you. You need to brush your teeth in the morning, no matter who you are. Keep some mints on your nightstand for him, and for you!
