Macaroni and cheese with cut up hotdogs is a favorite of all kids, and the cut up hotdogs can easily be eaten by the hands of the 2 year old.

You can also ask their parents what their favorite types of food is.

Scrambled hamburger, corn kernels, mashed potato, maybe some gravy (all separate).

English muffin pizzas - split English muffins, put on a thin layer of tomato sauce or paste, some cheese (use anything but process cheese/American cheese), and maybe a little meat like ham, bacon, burger or whatever. Pop them in the toaster oven or regular oven until a little toasty and cheese is melted.

Broiled/toaster oven open face cheese and bacon toast slices.

Sprinkle some small corn or flour tortillas with shredded cheese. Pop in the toaster oven or oven until cheese melts. Roll them up into tubes and serve.

Grilled cheese sandwiches.

About 2-4 cups of cooked minute rice stirred up with a can of cream of chicken soup.

Little microwave cans of soup/stew are easy and cheap, though kind of high in sodium usually.

Mac & cheese?

If you're talking about snacks...

Try some Knox Blocks. You can either add some extra plain gelatin to regular jello or cut the water amount in half when making jello. This will make slightly tough rubbery jello blocks that are easy to eat by hand. You can make that ahead of time and bring it over.

Saturate some pound cake or angel food cake with regular jello and refrigerate until set - jello cake.

Cinnamon toast? (butter, cinnamon, sugar)

And of course there are things like veggie sticks, with or without some salad dressing or dipping sauce. Also things like precut fruit pieces, and maybe some yogurt.

Frozen soft pretzels (heated up in microwave or oven), served with melted cheese (or Cheese Whiz) or other sauce/condiment are pretty good.

Mmmm, making me hungry.

Home made pizza, let them help "decorate" it. Or buy a can of cookie dough and flatten it in a pan, bake - then let them decorate it.
