DO NOT use Alcohol or peroxide as I'm sure some people will try to tell you. Call your vet and ask for advice. Calls are free.
If you can't afford to take your dogs to the vet, then you should not have them. I understand not everyone has a ton of excess cash, but vet care is one of the responsibilities of owning a pet. The SPCA or Animal Control can confiscate your pets if you continue to refuse vet care to them.

Clean the areas gently as much as possible..... and keep a VERY close eye on them. If the wounds are life threatening... get them to a vet and work a payment plan out later..... I have two Akita's (a mom and daughter) and they have gotten into it once before and each had a few puncture wounds. Keep the area clean and if your dogs have punctures, prepare yourself for an abcess later. An abcess is basically a pocket of fluid that will drain after a few days of the wound occurring. It will puss and bleed... but is the last step in healing according to my vet. I do use small amounts of peroxide on my dogs when they do get wounds, as well as neosporin... and if they are severe enough I wrap the wounds with gauze wrap (can get at any pharmacy) to help prevent infection. If the wounds do not stop bleeding after an hour or so... it may be serious and your dogs should see the vet. Use cotton balls to apply pressure to help stop the bleeding. Hope some of the info helps you out!

Don't even CONSIDER trying to sew his/her wounds. Not even vets will stitch bite wounds. The best you can do is first...figure out if the wounds are deep or life threatening. If you think they are....take the dog to a vet or to the ASPCA for treatment and work out a payment plan later. Secondly, wash the wounds with a very gentle soap and water, daily. LOOSELY bandage them! You want air to get in, and drainage to occur...but you want the germs to stay out. Don't sweat the ear injuries too much. Ear tears always bleed a lot but they're not life threatening. Just wash those wounds gently and keep an eye on them. If the dog shakes his/her head a lot, they can cause hematoma's (internal blood blisters) in the ears. It will look like a pocket of fluid in the ear leather. Sometimes they go away on their own...sometimes they need to be lanced by a vet.

Betadine, triple antibiotic ointment. If your dog's ear is torn, you could use a liquid bandage to seal it. Just keep cleaning the wounds and make sure they're not getting infected. I'd take the dog to the vet as soon as you can afford it because it's much more expensive and harder to get rid of an infection if it really gets a chance to take hold. Good luck!

I disagree with you. i think of which you're able to get Bo to a vet. It looks like he's torpid (once you assert slow shifting). living house cures are under no circumstances solid recommendations with animals. A vet might desire to bathe out the injuries and in all threat provide Bo some style of antibiotic to ward off an infection. Does Bo have all his photos? If he does not, he might have picked up any kind of ailments from the dogs(s) he become scuffling with with. that's something else to communicate with your vet. in case you do not have the money, seem into Care credit--a mastercard you need to use on the veterinarian. I actually have a Care mastercard, and it incredibly is a huge source once you're in a pinch. it is incredibly basic to get authorized for. I artwork at an animal hospital, and we sign customers up for it consistently. Why become he waiting to get to the friends canines? you're able to ward off this from happening lower back. i'm going to spare you the lecture which you will get from anybody else that solutions this question, yet whilst he's no longer neutered, doing so will a great deal cut back the possibility of him desirous to get in those fights. additionally, you're able to come across a thank you to comprise him on your backyard so it does not ensue lower back.

You can use warm water or hydrogen peroxide to clean off small cuts and bandage them if needed. Neosporin is fine in small amounts but cover the wound to make sure the dog does not lick it off. If these are deep wounds, you have no choice other than to go to the vet. If you cannot afford it, call around and try to find a vet that accepts payment plans or give your dog to someone who can afford to take it to the vet.

Take her to a vet and explain your situation - they care about animals and will want to help, most are willing to work out a payment plan. Your dog could get a serious infection from a brawl like that, and does need medical attention.

If you don't have any money to go to a vet, maybe you should re-evaluate whether you should have these pets in the first place.
