Try Puppy Kongs, Chilly Bones, Berber and Fleece toys. also you can use rings that are meant for babies and put them into the freezer then give them to the puppy. that way it will sooth the puppies gums.

Anything solid rubber like, as you say, Kong toys. They really are the best! Especially the ones which you can stuff with dairylea/laughing cow/primula cheese. Your puppy will love you forever!! Other than that any toy which you can pull/tug with him. If you are in the UK try Pets at Home - they have a good selection. Also, there is a great pulling toy which is a big(gish) blue and white ropeknot with a rope ball at the end. My 7year old Golden loves hers and won't rest until my husband has a game of tug with her. Even better if my other Golden plays with her. We have about 3 of them. Nylon bones are also good for their teeth. There are also ones which are "knobbly" which help to clean their teeth. Try not to get squeaky toys - you will be pulling your hair out after a while. Have fun!!!

There are wonderful toys for teething pups. some that you can put in the frig. and that helps to sooth their aching gums. Also anything hard rubber. Also go to Planet dog. com and look at their toys. They are great toys and are rated by their own chew-o-meter. My 2 goldens have had their toys for years and they have not shown much wear. They also love them to play with.
Plante Dog is a great place to find toys for dogs and cats. They are out of Portland Maine and get you the toys fast.
They are a very pet friendly company and I have been to their store in Portland many times. I love it there! So do my Golden's.

Do NOT get rawhide! They are notorious choking hazards...the dog chews off a hunk, it gets stuck down his throat and then the saliva makes it EXPAND and there is no chance for doggy. Why take the risk?
I do recommend KONGS which are tough toys with holes where you can squeeze the toy and insert any dog biscut into it! The dog smells the treat and chews on the toy!
I also recommend ropes, the dog store kind. They even have scented ones for his breath.
A lot depends on your dog, but the things I have mentioned come in various sizes for your doggy.

Give him something he'll chew on, like chew ropes and bones. That helps a teething puppy lose teeth. If he keeps chewing the toys, he'll go through the teething stage faster.

there is a rubber toy available where you but a treat in the middle. it keeps puppy occupied as he/ she tries to get to the treat. my pup seems to like rubber-like toys. she likes the way it feels on her teeth i suppose.
DO NOT get a rawhide bone or a bone with a hole. my pup got it caught on her jaw and she needed to have it surgically removed.
