I had a Lithotripsy, cystoscopy & a stint placed yesterday. I'm in pain, the pressure is so strong like I have to urinate so badly...then a few drops. Does this pain go away? Is it something I will endure till the stint is removed? Please help with ideas to releive the pressure & pain...

You apparently had a kidney stone(s), have had lithotripsy. The stent is to hold the ureter wider open so you can pass the pieces of stone that were broken up. The severe pain can be caused by pieces of the stone that are not able to pass. Call your doctor. Sometimes lithotripsy must be repeated. He can give you pain control but you don't want damage from a sharp stone. Leave a message with his answering service.

Your doc should've given you some good pain relievers. Call the one who did it and make sure this pain is normal. There should be someone on call, even if the office is closed. I'm sorry you're hurting so bad.
