I just want every American to pray to HUITZILOPOCHTLI, the Aztec God of war, What's wrong with that? We can sacrifice our enemies and display their heads as trophies at every school.

I was about to get idignant.

Actually I'm still going to get indignant.

Of COURSE we should pray in school....but not to your Huitzilblhablahblahyou'reaheathen God.

All prayers must be offered to Cthulhu. May Cthulhu cleanse the lands in preparation for the old ones.

May the stars soon be right.

Let's also stop teaching evolution "beliefs".

From now on...we teach that Cthulhu created us as food.

i'm a Sikh and that i replaced into born and raised in Canada. you would be surprised on the quantity of prayer that Sikhs do. Please do not think of in simple terms by using fact they placed on a kirpan (examine: kirpan, not dagger), they are violent or cruel. they are the main standard-love, all-people-are-one, help-the-needy, we-are-all-equivalent, shall we-be-honest variety of persons. Kirpan potential grace and honour. it quite is a weapon of ultimate motel for self defence in a existence and death undertaking. it quite is an brand of risk-free practices from evil, and upholding values of certainty and righteousness. each and every initiated Sikh has to do prayer and meditation daily - they are very non secular people. Answering your question, permitting prayer is an spectacular element. superb element. in fact i think of all faculties could have a multifaith prayer centre. regardless of the undeniable fact that, compelled prayer is a terrible element. it quite is, people could have the liberty to be sure how they % to wish or in the event that they % to wish. yet they could even have the factors to wish - i.e. the suggestion I gave above for the prayer centre. So helping prayer is sturdy, compelled prayer isn't. On that internet site, neither is compelled God shop the Queen. I hated making a music God shop the Queen in ordinary college !!! i'm happy and proud to be a born-and-raised Canadian yet i don't care lots on the subject of the queen. Our national anthem is very sturdy, yet not God shop the Queen. :)

The secular school run by the ideally secular government cannot organize and promote prayer, a religious activity.

If kids pray silently to themselves to Huitzilopochtli, though I prefer Quetzalcoatl, there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Sometimes I believe that prayer is the substitute for honest thought and reasoning. Come to think of it I can't think of any 6th graders who are capable of honest thought and reasoning--but I guess they should be forgiven their hormones..

They cannot make us pray in school. Even more they do not allow it. Which is lucky for them. For I am Jedi. If I were to practice my religion in class I'd be chopping off teacher's arms and mind controlling sharpened pencils all over the place.

and this is why I am thankful that the government cannot force any of us to follow their rules having to do with faith or religion.

Although I generally don't agree with antagonizing others on YA. I look forward to seeing the responses.

Edit: What's happening to YA today? Why are there only sensible, seemingly well-adjusted people answering all the questions? Will you people let the zealots have their say? Please!

Schools are places of learning and not places to spread stupidity such as prayer or religion.
