Try the product "Dr. Miracle". You can get that at your Hair store and depending on the area up live you may be able to get it at Walmart. I've tried the product and its really good and it has a tingling sensation so you know its working. They have a whole line of products. My mom told me about it and my dad (who is balding at the top) is using it and his hair is growing back.
Remember whatever product you use that it takes time for hair to grow back. There isnt an overnight solution. If its really troubling you maybe you should try a wig so you can give your hair a break.
Also, you need to wear a satin bonnet or use a satin pillow case so your hair won't rub against the cotton from your sheet set.
I hope this helps!

trust me, as women (young and old), it is unsightly and embarrassing to having lost hair. I myself am a 20 yr. old woman of color and have a full head of healthy hair. Try oils or shampoos and conditioners geared specifically toward hair loss for temples and edges. Also try a hair vitamin, preferably Nourish Hair from GNC<~~ (that is totally optional). Get a deep conditioner ("deep" meaning a conditioner with a plastic cap on ur head and under the dryer for at least 20 min.) every 2 weeks. Then either you or your hairdresser can give the scalp a good message because this will help stimulate the scalp and promote hair growth. Good Luck!! Write back and let me know what u think!

definetly dont get another perm... and you should let the salon know ... and demand a refund!!!
hair takes time to grow, and its not a quick process... they have hair vitamins on the market, also use a very gentle shampoo, try not to aggrivate the area. it will grow back... i highly doubt the damage was permanent( no pun intended!) if you home permmed or went to the salon, learn from your mistake... hair on the edges are very supceptable to damage( dont know if i spelled that word right) im assuming the perm was left on too long, and your hair didnt fall out, it broke. itll grow. be patient and good luck!

Ensure that you eat nutritious food, with plenty of leafy vegetables. Have a soya milk drink and multivitamin tablets if you do not have time to have a healthy breakfast.Apply the white of a raw egg on the hair for 30 minutes, and then wash it off with a shampoo. A mixture of lemon juice and egg white and oil massage could also be used to strengthen the roots of hair. More remedies at http://hairthinning.org/ will prevent further problems.

There's a grease, and its gross, called Bagbalm. They use it on the teats of pigs when they are chaffed......sh*t stinks like hell, but honey, you will see results in as little as one week. I can almost guarantee it. You'll have to buy it at a pet store.
