This is ridiculous; you appear to be asking a rhetorical question intended to draw criticism against the war. Some wars are necessary. I believe the present one is; however, finding Soviet weapons in Iraq is not sufficient reason to invade ex-Soviet nations, as I suppose you already know...

Now for the real answer, most of you will disagree with me but the Truth is there are Soviet weapons all over the world including in the USA. Some convert to really nice hunting rifles. They also make a super scope for hunting, I would like to own one.
In any military encounter it is not unusual to see the enemy using your weaponry or for that matter you using theirs.

Russia and France were the two biggest suppliers of arms to Iraq. I have always laughed that liberals claim that we armed Sadam. They don't know what the heck they are talking about. We sold him less than 1% of all his arms.
