"Now faith is the substance of things unseen, the evidence of things hoped for" If this is true by definition would'nt your agreement be by faith since you have faith in well guided assumptions made by scienntist? I also suggest that if you want to prove that God does not exist, conduct a scientific experiment to disprove him and see if you succeed, and then if you fail, pray sincerly and see if he answers. Will you?
please dont be rude.... Thank you!

If I believe in what a scientist says without requiring him do share his method (so I can repeat his experiments or examine his collected data), then, yes indeed that is nothing but faith. This is a very important point. This doesn't mean that evolution is a religion, since all methods and collected data is open for scrutiny. Also, Evolution is not the unchanged words of Darwin; rather, it is a theory that has been augmented as new discoveries have been made. Only religions remain unchanged in the face of new evidence.

To prove anything in relation to God is ultimately fruitless since God is supernatural (if He created the universe, He can not be bound by its laws and therefore stands above it). Whatever test I can devise, God can elude.

I will agree to a scientific experiment. Since it is unclear that god will answer the prayers of an Atheist but it is quite clear that god will answer the prayers of you and a fellow Christian (Matthew 18:19) then I would ask that you and a fellow Christian of your choosing pray that god will cause the sun to be eclipsed Sunday at noon Greenwich Mean Time. If that is too big a miracle for your god, then how about praying that one of the basketballs in use during the NBA All Star game bursts.

If either one happens, I will conceded that you are correct. If neither happens I will not ask you to concede that your god does not exist but I will ask you to concede that the bible is inaccurate even when it comes to the core theological quotations of Jesus.

It's so clear that you really don't understand science.

Something shown to be true by the scientific process is not simply a "well guided assumption".

I'm not even going to touch "conduct an experiment to disprove him" It would be a waste of time.

And just so you know, I do believe in God. I also realize the validity of science.

The burden of evidence is on the person making the claim. You claim that God exists, so you must prove it; otherwise, I am perfectly justified in rejecting your claim as false.

That is a fundamental rule of logic. You cannot prove a negative, as I'm sure many here will tell you.

If I tell you that I have a purple hedgehog tree, and you doubt the veracity of that claim, would it be fair to expect you to prove that I don't have one, or would it make more sense for you to expect me to prove that I do have one?

Sure. In the meantime, while I'm waiting for the million bucks, why don't you pray to the other 10,000 gods worshipped around the world, one by one, for all the things you ask god for. And if you still get any of them, be sure to come up with an experiement to figure out which one it was.

Evolution is not by faith, it is by study of the science and facts elucidated from experimentation and comparison of living organisms (often the ribosomal RNA is used because replication, transcription, and translation machinery is highly conserved between species).

Controlled scientific experiments are not "things unseen" nor "things hoped for". They do not require faith, merely observation.

well you cant disprove flying unicorns either

but if you take into account praying was proven to have no effect of the outcome and god has left no shread of evidence hes even real the only thing god has is heresay someone passing him on to someone else and so on

so god is like a famous rumor

god cannot be proved to not exist, just as you cannot prove there is an invisible pig living in your basement. The burden of proof is on the believer. You must prove there is a god.

There is no evidence of the existence of god, therefore, there is no need to believe in one. It becomes irrelevant to believe in fantasies.

you cant disprove something with science
you can prove things which disproves other things by default
this is a silly experiment

Asking evolutionists to think logically and not be rude is like asking the sun to stand still; of course there was this one time. All things are possible through Christ.
All evolutionists will realize their need for Christ I just pray it is not to late.
