Don't laugh at this, but this is the cheapest treatment out there... Toothpaste! Just dab some on your pimples before you go to bed, and then wash it off the next morning. It dries out the zit, causing it to shrink and reduces redness. When I notice one forming, I do this and it goes away!

Ask your parents if they'll get you a dermatologist. A professional can take care of you better than some drugstore brand, plus it shouldn't be expensive. Keep your hands off your face & don't pop or scratch at anything. Moisturize everyday and use some type of cleanser (I used Cetaphil) every night before bed & every morning. Do not attempt to dry out your face since this will only make the acne worse. Your face is creating extra oils because it's already too dry. Use some type of moisturizer (I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture) and give your skin a break. Focus on the long-term benefits of taking care of your face & keeping it healthy rather than coating your pores with irrelevant products such as toothpaste. Your parents should be understanding enough to consider getting you a dermatologist, just ask.

The best thing that you can do to clear up your skin is to keep it clean and oil-free. I use neutrogena oil-free acne wash and i think its only 3 or 4 dollars. I also use equate medicated acne gel that i put on overnight. That works really well ands that only 2 0r 3 dollars. I used to have really bad acne all over my face and i tried everything, including proactive and nothing worked. Then i just started washing my face and keeping it clean and it cleared up within 2 weeks. I hope that helps.

I hardly get pimples, but when i do i use St. Ives Acne Scrub in Medicated. It is the best acne scrub i have ever used! Gets rid of pimples in a day or two and actually works much, much better than proactive! The best part is, its sold for only $3-$4 at Wal-Mart or Target.

Proactive does not work as well as it claims. Even a dermatologist will tell you that. if you have the money get a prescription from your dermatologist for differin gel (I'm not sure if that's how you spell it). but i can tell you hands down a product called MURAD you can order online works wonders. If you want a noticeable difference sooner than later (like who doesn't?) buy the vitamins. Believe me I've tried everything and thank God MURAD worked.

Well i worked a proactiv for awhile BUT i do not believe those chemical filled products are good for your skin to be absorbing, so i have found BERTS BEE's All Natural Cleanser , followed by a Wild Lettuce Toner, ITS all organic and 100% great for your skin you will be amazed, Trust me, FIND AN ORGANIC STORE

toothpaste works.....but i have something that works better and faster.........you just take a small bowl, put warm(not hot b/c ppl always do hot and say it dusnt werk), ut salt in it and stir.then let it sit for a while and come back.if the salt has dizolved, that means it's ready to go.take a cotton ball and apply to every placw where the acne is.then let sit overnight.when you wake up, you have to be sure you wash your face really well or your skin will be flakey and nasty.trust me, it works.good luck

i have been using this product for 21/2 years and i have only once gotten acne since using this product and it went away in 3 days for real i use the AVEENO products it works on skin expecially sensitive skin because i couldn't use strong things like proactive because it burned my skin (you can find this at walmart, target, walgreens and it's very affordable)
