my sister ate contaminated peanut butter and got salmonella. Where do we report it, because you know how people always have numbers of how many ppl got sick because of this and that? How do we alert those people so that they know she got it too and one person is added to that number of people that ate peanut butter and got sick??? thanks!!

She needs to go to the ER and they will report it. I'm assuming if you know she has salmonella she's already been there. The hospital reports it.

It's pretty easy to report. Tell your doctor. The CDC (center of disease control) has a system where the doctor reports it.

If your doctor is the one who told you she got it, then the CDC already knows.

The alert is already out. They are aware of the name brand and stock number of the jars infected and are announcing it nationwide. Apparently, you missed it. See your doctor for treatment and throw away the jar of PB.

I think the hospital reports it to whatever agency it is that keeps track. The hospital would have to diagnose your sister with it before it would be counted.

call your local health department. How do you know that your sister got salmonella?

if you all went to the hospital or to the dr, then they should report this to the right authorities. If you think that they didn't then you need to call them and tell them to call.
