no, not really. i do that so it could last longer. you don't have to listen to everything you read. if it gets moldy if you leave it out, don't leave it out. put it anywhere you would like to. leaving bread in the freezer is good too

They just say that so you will have to buy more bread. I buy two loaves at a time, put one in the freezer and one in the fridge. When the one in the fridge runs out, I pull the bread from the freezer and put it back in the fridge. Just don't leave the loaf out for long periods of time and then put it back in the fridge, it will probably make it a little soggy and not taste as good as it could... (:

I have noticed that bread gets stale fast in the fridge and I believe that it is due tho the air circulating in it.
Also, I have noticed that bread kept in the fridge tends to absorb odors from other things-- a major reason not to put it in there-- especially if you do not want you PBJ to taste like fish or whatever else you may like to keep in there.

Most breads will dry out fast if left in the fridge.
I keep some breads in the freezer.

It gets hard but I think it can get just as hard sitting out on the counter. I leave mines in the fridge too.

I disagree with you. Bread in the refrigerator will mold faster. simply put your bread in a 2nd bag (paper or plastic) and seal it tight. I keep mine for about 5-7 days that way and it does not get moldy.

No real reason. It keeps longer in the fridge and if it does get hard...we can toast it... No problems
