my dad has had cancer since 1994 he always gets sooo close to the 5 yr clear then all of a sudden this white spot appears on his nose again he has been cut open 7 times he has no more skin to pull over his nose now but the doctors want to cut him open again and cut even more out is the an alternative treatment for this if so can sumone suggest something please!! the doctors want to use plastic surgery i dnt want them too and neither does my dad he also has to get hip replacements and has been waiting now for 4 yrs any chance like doctors r gettin so lazy!! the poor man can hardly walk any help wud b great thanks!

Have you considered medical treatment and surgical help for this in India? They are called the Fly2india4health Consultants. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. Well, here's the deal- the reason they want to cut out the cancer is that it's the surest way of getting a clean margin; an area where no cells of cancer that COULD spread to other areas & metastasize. If he doesn't get the margin cleared, he runs a much higher risk of having it spread.
Plastic surgery can do a lot: an artificial appliance to replace a nose is an option and I have known a person who had one.
While it is sad he has gone through a lot, let's look at the positive- he has survived cancer multiple times due to the skill and knowledge of his cancer care team. So who exactly do you want him to see now- an acupuncturist? an herbal healer with no formal training who is not regulated by the government and who works in substances the government does not test for purity, efficacy or contamination? a voodoo doctor?
Be realistic- do you honestly think his hip surgery has been put off due to laziness or due to the fact that your dad has multiple health issues going on?
Head & neck cancer is a particularly difficult cancer to cure- it sounds like your dad's docs have been vigilant and proactive.

Get a second opinion if you are not happy. And remember- if he has not been adjudicated as incompetent in a court of law, what goes on in his health care is HIS choice not yours! You can go with him to help him understand, you can be his health care proxy and you can give him information but it's HIS choice.

Five hundred years ago, people said the world was flat. Today, people say that if the FDA and AMA haven't blessed something, it can't be real good. Well, here's something I know to be real AND good. It's a little different take on cancer treatment--

In 1990, I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma, stage 3-B, but I've survived. My doctors were great people, but they were limited to surgery, chemo and radiation by profitable AMA treatment policy. During the year in treatment, I started learning about alternative medicine. I'm sorry 4 wots going on, but i think you should leave all the doctors to do their job, you may feel like this is going nowhere, his your dad you care and love him very much so that's why you may feel like the doctors are lazy. let them do there job and you continue 2 b there 4 him. x

Depends is he in any pain try getting a fake nose
