I am not sure it will help gout. But I have used it for sore, injured muscles and batter infection. If you use it you must make sure that the surface area your going to apply it to is clean since any thing on the surface of the skin will be absorbed along with DMSO. Then you just apply with your hand, but make sure you wash your hand right away after wards. It may cause your skin to itch, but it will soon stop. Your breath will taste and smell like garlic.

Just rub it on the affected area. It will either help immediately or will never help. It will also make you taste oysters.
