Washing it will lighten it...

Relax, the first time you shampoo it will fade. Most of us that color love the fresh color, maybe you choose to dark a shade first off. Next month when you color choose the shade that more closely matches your faded color. Or you could try a professional next time, often the cost is worth it.

Hair is great stuff, we cut it, color it, do all sorts of nasty things to it and it comes back for more.

the more you shampoo, the more the color fades... itll fade even if you dont shampoo often, give it a couple of weeks, itll lighten up. when the roots show, try a lighter shade or 2 than what you just used... good luck!

Assuming you went to a reputable salon you should be able to go back at no charge and they should fix it. I do not recommend you try it yourself, not for a few weeks. if they don't fix it then don't go back to them, wait a few weeks, and then rinse in an over the counter highlighter. Good luck
