The only way I can see myself as a friend is if the girl is married, stuck with kids, or going through some "issues" with her boyfriend.
Other than that, I can't see myself just being friends with a single, attractive woman. Can you?

It's kinda tough. A lot of times a guy and a girl will start out as friends, and it ends up being something more. If the "something more" doesn't work out, then usually you've lost a good friend too. I have done the started out as friends routine that led to something more, and it has not worked out. Since that time, I've grown older and wiser and do have very good friends - that are friends only - of the opposite sex. I think everyone gets too hung up society's need to push sex all the time. It can be done if you truly like the person and you truly just want to be friends. If you do not start out just wanting a friend, but using that as a means to work up to a romantic relationship it won't work.

Yes of course you can be just friends. I am friends with many guys and we do not have sex. We don't have the mindset other than just friends and therefore, nothing else will happen. If that is what is set in your mind, that is what will happen. It takes two to tango and if you become friends with a woman and she doesn't want sex with you, it isn't going to happen. You have to respect her for that.

I have a boyfriend and I know that guys think differently than women, most guys anyway. If you meet someone, you have to be friends with someone first anyway if you really want a real relationship that will last. I have been just friends with my boyfriend for almost 2 years and we just started dating about 3 months ago. We are choosing to not have sex before marriage (if it goes that route) so that it doesn't cloud what is really real for us. Sex usually gets in the way of emotions and clouds up what you really feel for that person. Rather, the sex feelings may alter what you really feel for the person deep down inside. We don't want that to get in our way of thinking. We find it challenging to say the least, but we are strong individuals and are learning about each other. You can be friends if you set your mind to it without having sex.

As a woman, I don't feel that a man and woman can be "just friends" without a lot of boundaries. I think that obviously you're friends because you're attracted to SOMETHING about that person and without putting up boundaries like only hanging out in a group setting, etc.you probably will ending up doing more than originally intended by one of you. (Face it, you're only human and you do have hormones) Also, just to add my own two cents in, I DON'T feel like married people should have a single friend of the opposite sex anyhow, but that's my own personal conviction. Anyway, hope this answers your ?!

Yes! YOu don't need to have sex with every girl you are friends with and are attracted too...for some reason it is extremely hard to maintain a friendship because at one time or another one of the person falls for the other, but I think it is possible.

Sure. You can be the best of friends with the opposite sex and that is called a platonic love without sex involved. If you have common likes and interests. And you have the same brain wave lenght.

depends on what you find to be attractive. and also her will as well as yours ... you're basically saying that you'd sleep with any single woman who is either not married, "stuck" with kids, or going through issues with her boyfriend - is that true? if you'd get the nasty off of your mind - nasty nasty! lol - then maybe you could look at women for who they really are - you know, like personality wise and stuff:) yeah, you should try that sometime ... lol

I am in a serious relationship and I have quite a few male best friends. Its absolutely possible. As long as you have self control theres no problem. I have three guy friends that are like my brothers. The thought of kissing them or anything along those lines makes me sick!!! The big thing is to be honest with your significant other, if you have one.

Yes, you can be friends without sex. But it's hard to be bf&gf without sex.

The real question is: can a boy and girl be friends without getting romantic? Some can, some can't.

well, you have to be friends with lots of different people to be well rounded. I probably have more female friends now than guys. I think it is good to have someone of the opposite sex to talk to.

Yes. It's a little animalistic to want sex from every female of the species, don't you think?
