I'm a Christian and I don't know where I stand on that issue. I'm not for them but sometimes they are necessary like for police to have. I have to say, I don't know.

I'm an atheist, here's how I feel about gun control:

I definitely believe that people should be able to own guns for their own protection. However, I think we need to take into account the safety of everyone, when allowing someone to buy firearms.

My uncle is completely insane. He's an alcoholic, a drug user, and has violent tendencies. He owns two .45's and a shotgun, which he carries around in his car at all times. He uses the fact that he has these firearms to "convince" my grandmother to let him borrow money. She has reported this behavior to the police, and nothing has been done about it. She can't prove that he was threatening her, because she lives alone. And it only happens once, maybe twice every 6 months. The guns are registered and he carries them legally, so he can't be arrested for possession of them. If this man can legally carry a gun in this country, then gun laws need to be seriously evaluated. I don't claim to know HOW they should change, I just know that they do.

I believe its brilliant - look at the English presence of school shootings and gun crime - I believe it speaks for itself.

I think saying having a gun is a right is a crazy thing (sorry just my opinion people). You don't intrinsically need one to live or be happy. Not even our police have guns unless they are specially trained and in a special unit. I love the fact that insane people cant just grab a gun and shoot me (I'm not only talking about the mentally ill there either)

Oh and I'm pagan, but I think the European thing has more to do with my views

I like the right of the citizens to have weapons so as not to be over run by the military of their own government. I live deep in the mountains and have a variety of weapons. I think that all guns should have a registered owner, responsible for what that gun does. I feel that anyone convicted in a court of their peers of any violent crime should not have the right to own guns. I am non-religious

I personally do not believe in gun control. The Constitution guarantees me the right to bear arms and I believe that gun control is against the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Legislators, lobbyists, and Judges who legislate from the bench need to leave the Constitution and the Bill of Rights alone. They are attacking the foundations of our country, slowly eroding our rights.

I don't see what my religion or even a lack thereof has to do with gun control or owning weapons, but I'm sure you have something up your sleeve, so I'm willing to give.

I am a protestant. Very vague, huh? I believe in God and in creationism. I am baptised Methodist, but do not practice. My children are baptised Lutheran, but do not practice. We attend church functions when we feel the need to. I do not necessarily believe in organized religion, but leave that choice up to individuals. To each his own.

Inhale, exhale half way, keep your hands loose, and squeeze the trigger.

Basically I feel that people should be able to own guns but I have no problem with requiring guns to be registered and gun users to have a license which includes training and testing. After all, that's what we do with cars.

Atheist.

I am a Christian. I believe everyone should have the right to own, and carry a Gun, it is a Constitutional Right. I do not own a Gun, a Choice I made for myself.

That is really one issue I really don't care about. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. I think changing peoples minds is the best option. You would think the assault weapon ban we had would have had an impact, however, statistics have shown, it made no difference. Yet, we still see all kinds of accidental deaths (and non-accidental, of course) that surely wouldn't happen without so many guns around. I think guns are stupid, if they banned them, that's fine with me. Others say its their right to own one, so I say, fine, go ahead, just don't shoot me.

I'd actually like to see the statistics on the 3day wait period. It sounds like it would have curbed alot of crimes-of-passion, but who knows.

I think a shift in attitude is more important than a shift in gun laws:

In a scene from Bowling for Columbine (about gun control) they interviewed Canadians, who have a lot of guns around, about why Americans have exponentially more gun violence than in Canada. To paraphrase, the common response was "in Canada we step back and think first, try to solve our problems through communication....but in America, their first reaction is shoot...shoot first, ask questions later...you're on my property, get my gun..."

Wow, this is my longest answer ever.
