I just have to say that there is this amazing dip at Trader Joe's. I was in line, in NY and the lines were out the door, when the line wrapped around to the sample aisle and i got a taste of the best yogurt and dill dip EVER. They use some sweet potatoe chip to eat with it and it is amazing. I know that you wanted a recipe, but this is so much easier. I am a picky eater, but I had to give this 2 thumbs up and a round of applause. Do try.

Frito Pie is better! 1. Spray Pam in a casserole dish & preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. Place a layer of Fritos in dish. Spread some canned Hormel Chili w/ Beans over Fritos. Sprinkle shredded sharp cheddar over the top. Repeat until all Fritos, Chili, and Cheese are layered. 3. Place, uncovered, in oven. Bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and starting to bubble. Serve hot.

Shrimp and Salsa Dip

1pound baby shrimp, thawed, rinsed and dried
2 Tablespoons mayonnaise
16 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 can Rotel, drained
1 tsp. salt, or to taste
1 tsp. Tony Chachere's creole seasoning, or to taste
2 Tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
1 Tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Cream together cream cheese, mayo and sour cream until smooth. Incorporate cilantro, parsley, salt and Tony's until well mixed. Lastly fold in shrimp and rotel.

***A small can of crab meat, drained can also be added to this to make it a Shrimp and Crab Salsa Dip. Serve with pita chips, crackers or your favorite chip.

Makes about 4 cups and will serve around 25 people.

A very good dip recipe is my homemade yogurt dip.
Take one tub of Greek yogurt, add chopped fresh mint, finely diced and deseeded cucumber, one crushed clove of garlic, a few dried chili flakes and about half to one teaspoon confectioners sugar. Mix all ingredients together and chill for about one hour.
This is an excellent dip for all sorts of food plus it is also a very nice accompaniment for spicy meat dishes.

Black bean dip is delicious, but it's death on fresh breath (because of the garlic). I'll dig up the recipe, and email it when you ask........princessfly11@yahoo.com
