should i dump my current bf or not? because i don't know if he cares. i mean he doesn't contact me, didn't remembered my b-day and he didn't send me a valentines card for valentines day. even though i do my part i don't think he is. i mean i gave him another change to be with me and it hurt when he just throws it all away. so do you think i deserve better or not?

Jess, you should ask yourself, why you havent done so already?
Stop asking yourself, and others, for reasons to dump your boyfriend, and look at it the other way around.
I say this because your question tells me that you are the kind of personality who wont ever have enough reasons to quit a crappy boyfriend like the one you have now! That means that no matter what reasons we in this forum can give you that he is not worth staying with, it probably wont be sufficient anyway.
BUT maybe the fact that you dont have any good reason to be with this guy, should tell you something important.
Know that you would know for sure if this guy was worth being with. I mean, all couples, or most anyway discover fear and doubt along the way. But there af for most people numerous reasons to stay with each other.
Maybe you have plenty of reasons to be with this guy, but you dont mention them here. From the information you supply us with, he sounds like a real jerk. However there are good and bad jerks ...
Jerks with potential, and jerks without. Nerds for instance, are often jerks, but will in many cases, become quite decent bf's, especially with "a little" female influence...
Bottom line should be this: Is his influence on you good or negative? It sounds like its negative... then follow up with the question ... does it appear to be something you can work with (in his behaviour, not yours), to a degree where being in a relationship wit him, becomes a source of positive and constructive feelings within yourself?
If not - you have to dump him! Never be in a relationship that will continue to bring you down, because where will it lead you - what will it bring you? Nothing - or worse!

Of course you deserve better hon! You deserve all the happiness in the world- even your friends recognize that.
It doesn't sound like he's much of a boyfriend - I bet you can find plenty of guys who would call you, and remember your bday, and get you something special for vday. Go find him!!

If he cannot remember little things like Valentines Day or your birthday, lose him. he is too wrapped up in himself to care about you.

Do you love him? Thats what you have to think for yourself. Forget everything about side people(like friends, etc) and just think you and him. Then decide of you have a future with him. You always want it to be exciting in a relationship. Don't cave into your friends opinions, think about YOURS. Good luck sweetie, hope that helped
