A minute ago you wanted to know if smoking weed was bad for you. Now you are contemplating the FDA and legal medical marijuana? Good grief.
People who can have medical marijuana don't smoke it like a knuckleheaded pot head. They smoke it because they are in TERRIBLE pain.

Not so funny. The pharmaceutical industry just has a strangle hold on Congress to keep free, literally homegrown weed (it is a weed, it will grow anywhere) from competing with many of its expensive drugs, in my opinion.

We waste millions of dollars persecuting and prosecuting pot smokers who are smoking a drug far less harmful than alcohol or morphine. If we legalized it, taxed it and regulated it, we could focus more law enforcement on hard drugs, and put millions of shady pot dealers out of business.
The Taliban runs on Heroin money, not pot money. That stuff is home grown.
Prohibition taught us to pick our battles, and that some things are ok in moderation. The US will never legalize pot before the UK, Canada and Australia do, but I do believe we can de-criminalize it.

The FDA allows very sick people to have marijuana for medical purposes, not to get high on.
